Kurume University is established as Kyushu medical school in 1928, and it came into being with the establishment of the Faculty of Commerce.At present, it has developed as a comprehensive private university, and it consists of 5 faculties with 11 departments,5 graduate schools and 18 research centers.We have 2 campuses, 2 hospitals, high school and junior high school in Kurume city.In 2008, the university celebrated its 80th anniversary.
