The 7th consecutive edition of International Conference on Advances in Computing & Communications (ICACC-2017) was held on the RSET campus from 22nd to 24th of August. Dr. N. Balakrishnan from IISc Bangalore, Dr. Dharmendra Sharma from University of Canberra, Mr. Jordi Blasco Pallares from University of Auckland, and Dr. –ing Juergen Trost from Aalen University were the renowned speakers for the conference.

The International Faculty Development Program (FDP) on High Performance Computing & Data Science was conducted in Sunya Labs from 17th to 22nd August 2017. KTU Dean, Dr. Vrinda V. Nair was the chief guest for the inauguration.

We had ten students from Kadambari College Nepal, who visited RSET on 12th July 2017 (Sunday).  They were here for a Kerala visit and Rajagiri was a part of the visit. They were here to explore the possibilities of establishing a relationship with RSET and also to send their students to RSET for further studies/internships/ short term courses.

RSET welcomed its 9th batch of M. Tech and 17th batch of B.Tech students to Rajagiri family on 01-08-2017 at RSET. Prof. Inder K Rana, Emeritus Fellow, IIT Mumbai was the Chief Guest for the function.     Dr. K. Poulose Jacob, chairperson of NeST Centre of Excellence in IoT did the felicitation for the ceremony.

Ms. Minnu Paul, Asst. Director of International programs at Methodist University, USA visited RSET for exploring the collaboration options between RSET and Methodist. There was a session conducted by her to our final year students on “Way to strengthen the application for Master's program in the USA.” It was a fruitful session and many students benefited by the info she gave to them on the topic.

Two of the final year students from RSET underwent two months of internship at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

 

 

RSET organized the Annual Athletics Meet on 5 th and 6 th of May in the college ground. Many students participated and won prices in the various events that were conducted for them. The two days events were a success and wish more and more students participate in the events. The international students at RSET also actively participated in the events that helped them to refresh themselves. The staff also made their contribution in the games by participating in the games.
