RSET welcomed Dr. Maria Parapilly, Professor from Flinders University, sparking a day of meaningful exchanges. Dr. Maria engaged in an insightful session with 1st-year students, offering valuable perspectives. Additionally, she had pivotal meetings with RSET's academic leadership, comprising the Director, Principal, Vice Principal, and Assistant Director. These interactions solidified collaboration and laid the groundwork for future initiatives, building a strong exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two institutions.

 

 

In a significant stride towards fostering collaboration, the Flinders University delegation, including Mr. Brett Wagner, Mr. Sebastian Raneskold, and Professor Alistair Rendell, engaged in a crucial meeting with the academic leadership of RSET. This comprehensive session included Heads of Departments (HODs), the Director, Principal, Vice Principal, Deans, and the International Officer. The meeting served as a platform for constructive discussions, exchange of insights, and laying the groundwork for future academic partnerships. This convergence of key figures from both institutions not only solidified the collaborative spirit but also set the stage for a promising synergy in the realm of education.

 

Upon their arrival in September, Anna Scaria, Anna Isabel John, and Parvathy R had the incredible opportunity to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, with their alumni seniors, Athira, and Krishna Prasad, who have been at Shimane University for the past One year. The joyous occasion brought together students from different batches, creating a sense of camaraderie, and fostering connections that go beyond cultural boundaries

On November 22, 2023, a delegation from Flinders University, including Mr. Brett Wagner, Mr. Sebastian Raneskold, and Professor Alistair Rendell, visited RSET to warmly welcome 16 exceptional students, 15 in Computer Science and one in Mechanical Engineering. This visit marked a significant moment in their academic journey. The 16 students in twinning program have successfully completed their academic requirements at RSET and now transitioning to Flinders for the remaining two years of their program thereby fostering stronger ties between the two institutions.

 

The collaboration between RSET and Shimane University sprang to life as our M. TECH scholars—Anna Scaria, Anna Isabel John, and Parvathy R embarked on a Cultural Exchange programme from September 2023 to February 2024. Anna Scaria, pursuing Masters in Computer Science and Information Systems, Anna Isabel John and Parvathy, specializing in Network Engineering.

At the university set against the picturesque landscapes of Shimane, Japan, our scholars found themselves enveloped by a unique tapestry of tradition and modernity. Beyond academic pursuits, this exchange program molds global citizens, preparing them for an enriched future.

In our relentless quest for knowledge and sustainable innovation, RSER proudly welcomed Miss Lucia Schnee from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Miss Schnee spearheaded an engaging session, unravelling the latest technologies poised to revolutionize renewable energy. The event, hosted on 13 th October 2023, gathered students, faculty, and industry aficionados, creating a dynamic forum to explore the cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of sustainable energy.

Dr Jobin K Antony and Mr Anoop Thomas (Department of Electronics & Communications) conducted a hands-on workshop on "Embedded system applications development using NVIDIA Jetson nano board" at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Germany for both undergraduate and postgraduate students from 9th October to 13th October.
